One developer, 18 years of shipping

CS Magics is an independent software studio. Since 2008 it has designed, engineered and supported a catalogue of 17 apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac — entirely built by one person.

The work started with vehicle diagnostics: talking to cars over raw OBD-II protocols, decoding fault codes and building tools such as CarMan for VAG and the OBD2 Scanner family. That low-level habit stuck. The photo tools that followed — Photo Doctor, Photo Detective, FaceTrix — run restoration, forensics and face-swapping algorithms that are implemented and tuned in-house for mobile processors, not bolted on from third-party SDKs.

The same principle drives the smaller utilities: a lye calculator for soap makers, a Tatar keyboard for iOS and macOS, a sonic repellent, build guides for LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3. Each app exists to solve one real problem, and each is maintained for the long term — several titles have been updated for more than a decade.
